About Us

After 31 years in the tech industry, Vivian Hoge changed careers and decided to open a coffee shop.

We hope to make the coffee shop successful and provide a comforting spot for people to enjoy good coffee and tea, relax alone or with friends, maybe have a light lunch or a refreshing smoothie and feel comfortable returning to visit us.

We enjoy outdoor activities.  We have been fisherpeople for decades.  We also enjoy RVing and traveling.  We attend Air Force football games and we usher at the Sky Sox baseball games.  Our summers are really, really full.  Winters offer us a chance to slow down and regroup in preparation for the next spring/summer.

Vivian Hoge

Vivian was born and raised in Colorado Springs.  And except for a short stint in Boise, ID, working for HP, she has lived all her life here.  She graduated from Adams State College in Alamosa, with a BA in Business Education and Accounting/Finance.  She enjoys spending time with her family.  The Rivera family reunion each July is a highlight of her summer.  She recently completed the Business and Barista Workshop at the American Barista and Coffee (ABC) School in Portland OR.

Randy Hoge

Randy is from Iowa.  He was a Chinese Linguist during the Vietnam War.  After the war he attended Adams State, where Vivian was actually one of his professors.  He received his degree in Business Education and Recreation.  He taught in Colorado Springs District 11 for 14 years, then, being the loving husband, he moved to Boise with Vivian.  He was hired by Hewlett Packard as a customer service technician.  He is still working for HP.  Randy retired from the Idaho Air National Guard in 2004 after 21 years.  In addition to his linguist job, he was a Training Manager and a Human Resource Advisor during his tenure.
